iRentEverything Helps with Hurricane Ian Relief
Apr 6, 2023
Hurricane Ian swept through southwest Florida in 2022 killing multiple people and causing billions of dollars worth of property damage. The hurricane was listed as Category 4 but later was listed as a Category 5 hurricane. It was the costliest weather disaster in 2022. Bridges, roads, and buildings fell apart and disintegrated into the ocean. The damage left by Hurricane Ian was unprecedented and the evacuation announcements came far too late for some counties.
How Can iRentEverything Provide Hurricane Relief?
iRentEverything was grateful to help where we could by providing tents and other rental equipment in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Here’s how we were able to aid those who were affected by the disaster.
Mobile Command Centers
Disaster relief requires a lot of organization. Our event tents can provide a location that can function as a mobile command center from which first responders and relief workers can organize.
Medical Tents
Disasters such as hurricanes can cause injuries that need to be treated right away. A clean and safe environment is needed and an event tent with sidewalls can provide a sterile environment where first aid and other emergency care can be administered.
Storage and Shelter
Event tents with sidewalls can also offer shelter for those responding to the disaster and those displaced by it. Tents can similarly be used as a safe place to store necessary supplies like food, water, clothing, and medical supplies.
Plumbing & Electricity
iRentEverything also offers other equipment such as power, sinks, mobile kitchen equipment, HVAC, fans, and more. In an emergency situation, the location’s infrastructure might be damaged or otherwise not work properly. Mobile equipment can help to make up for this loss for emergency workers until infrastructure can be restored.

What Damage Can Hurricanes Cause?
Hurricanes can be unstable and cause permanent damage to infrastructure and take the lives of our neighbors. Storms not only damage coastal cities and beaches, but they can also reach far inland and continue to cause destruction there. Saltwater erosion can be a public health emergency, and the harsh winds can be difficult to manage during a large storm. Having emergency response support is crucial to protecting our communities.
How Can iRentEverything Help With Disaster Relief?
iRentEverything can quickly set up an emergency response station that meets your needs. A deployment team will be there to assist you in setting up durable tents that can host a basecamp or meeting center.

Each tent can securely host a large number of people needed in a mass medical crisis, Doctors and nurses can set up small stations within the tent to administer any needed pharmaceuticals.
Government Response
